Through initiatives like the Kilombero Rice Commodity Investment Plan, TARIPA focused on marketing, production, processing, partnerships, and infrastructure development. Initially housed under USAID/NAFAKA, TARIPA served as a hub for information sharing, partnership incubation, and stakeholder coordination.

Rice Council of Tanzania (RCT) is an apex body, representing private sector stakeholders (all farmers; input suppliers, processors; traders; service providers; financiers, researchers; consumer organizations, bankers association and NGOs.

To advocate for and support the Rice Value Chain actors in Tanzania through the facilitation of an enabling business environment for sustainable rice production and trade
